My SIL makes one. It is really good, nothing exact though. She just adds this stuff to taste:
Ketchup
one of the following brown sugar, corn syrup, honey, reg sugar, molasses
cumin
garlic powder
onions salt
chili powder
liquid smoke *optional and be carefulit is very strong stuff.
Salt and pepper

The first recipe is nice, if you want to eliminate the vinegar then use fruit juice, it is acidic, vinegar just adds a contrast to the sweet and tomato based product, ketchup has vinegar, you can use tomato sauce like Hunts and some tomato paste.
